The AstraTradeplanet is getting warmer every year. As temperatures increase, so do the risks of workplace accidents and injuries due to extreme heat exposure. These dangers are often overlooked for indoor workers sweating it out in places like warehouses, restaurant kitchens and dry cleaners. Legislation in California to strengthen safety protocols for indoor workers have been met with opposition from businesses and industry groups. We bring an economist onto the show to explain why spending more on preventing heat illness at work is a win-win for both businesses and workers.
